Shopping for a cause at Beulah's!!

For those who don't know Beulah's does quite a few things to help the community out... Just to name a few, first, The Boys & Girls Club shopping tournament, a bunch of participants go around to the supporting shops and their discount go towards helping the Boys & Girls Club out, keep your eyes open for that in September, follow this link for more details, http://www.shoppingtournament.org/details.html

Then also, Beulah's sponsors the "peach patch", a free time for kids to have fun doing crafts, petting animals, and all sorts of other fun activities. This weekend some of you might have made your way over to the Peach Jamboree with the kiddos where they have the "peach patch".

Yes, I realize the temperature is soaring into the high 90's and every now and then we are seeing it creep past the 100 degree mark. If it's been a while since you checked in be sure and scroll down. I have been trying to play some major catch up so there are some very recent posts further down. But for now - The squeaks are here. Just got the new sandals in and I am so excited about one of the newest changes they have made. The new velcro closures make it just a little tougher for your tot to tear open and fling off his/her new shoes. The girls got several new styles and yes there is one for the boys - -I know, I know all for the girls and only one for the boys, I hear it aaaaaaall the time. But unless your little boy is worried about matching his shoes, to his outfit, to his purse, just get these great little grey sandals. I promise he'll love them because they squeak, and you'll love them because they match every pair of khaki cargo shorts and t-shirt in his closet!

The Bluebonnets are beautiful this spring in the Hill Country and to go along with them Beulah's just received our own little batch of bonnets. These are all one of a kind, made in Austin by one of my favorite designers, ready to adorn your little one. Each bonnet is reversible and ties under the chin. The brim can be worn out to provide complete shade or folded back to show the reverse fabric. I pictured each bonnet with several complimentary looks.

Blooming!

Here is the first batch of our bloomers and culottes for the season!!!!! These go fast. Bloomers come sizes 3-6 months, 6-12 months, and 18-24 months. Camden can still wear the 18-24 month size with plenty of room. In fact I once had a skinny six year old get a pair to put under skirts. The culottes are thin, soft and perfect for the hot Texas weather that is sure to come, as soon as this icey stuff leaves! Available in sizes 2, 4 and 6 years. They go well under a dress or sometimes we throw them on with a little tank just to run out the door. Camden still wears the size 2 in these and again there is lots of flexibility. The waist is made to wear they fit well but they can stretch out a ton, allowing for a little more longevity to this purchase. Call ASAP if you want a pair $24 for bloomers, $32 for culottes.

These also came in yesterday and will be a great look for Spring! Unfortunantly the dress was oversold so I only have a 12, 18 and 24 month. The little boys linen shortall and tee start at a 3 month and go up to 4T. The shortall and tee are sold seperately so for those who love to see the tanned skin on your little man, you can go without the shirt, and for those seeking the perfect white beach shirt for this years family pics, this is the one!

Last chance to add this to your collection! Our super soft screen tees and Japenese pants are about gone, let me know if you don't want to miss out!

I think this post sums up the fact that here at Beulah's, our selection has a pretty broad range as far as any particular look or style. What can I say, I gotta have it all - and so should you!!!!

Great new line of super soft vintage washed t-shirts just hit the racks! These are designed and made in Hollywood - for all those who care. I would say these run on the smallish side, especially once they have been washed and dried. They start at a 2 and go up to size 6 years. The size six does look like its running a little long but once again, washing and drying will shrink it up. Great with shorts or jeans for a fun springtime look. Totally appropriate since it is supposed to be 25 degrees this weekend, don't you think? ;)

Thank goodness, at least for the moment, we have beautiful weather. Those cold rainy days don't do my spirit very good, so God sent the sunshine just in time! And since Camden did so good in this photo shoot we are going to blame the yucky weather for all the tears in the last one. She had a blast running back and forth in all of these soft, airy, fabulous combos that just rolled in the door. I do need to let you all know that since I have been facebooking for Beulah's, things seem to be moving out almost as quickly as they make it on the racks. If you are on facebook be sure and "friend" Beulah Fredericksburg, and if not just be sure you let me know asap if there is anything you have to have. Ah this modern world of technology. I can't believe I am even a part of it. For the longest time I refused to join the masses in cyber world however, now I speed race to get pics of new outfits in order to provide these images for your shopping pleasure. The family and I will be headed out of town this weekend, but the girls will be here so stop and see firsthand! Since some sizes are already gone I am going to have the girls make a list of anything that needs to be reordered, so just let them know.

It's hard to believe that 2009 is already gone, and 2010 has arrived! The weather outside is quite frigid, but here at the store we're welcoming in the new year with great warmth. Here's what is going on at Beulah's!

Last week we gots tons of great new fashions to encompass the little ones in your midst as well as any expecting mothers expanding mid section. Michael Stars did a great long sleeve soft cotton shirt with the perfect sprinkling of tiny rhinestones along the front. The top comes in chocolate, black, charcoal, or ivory. Please don't be surprised when you come in and find me in one of them. I went ahead and snagged one in every color. Today I am sporting the black one with chocolate leggings, below the knee flat suede boots, and a little black swing sweater with velvet covered buttons. Pardon me for putting such an emphasis on the adult fashions we have, I just have to share what a great line M. Stars has, and prove that maternity fashions can be carried out past pregnancy!

Now for the little ones . . . where do I begin. How about the new suede fringe leggings! Are they best paired with a onesie, denim jacket, and kicked around pair of boots? Or do they suit the little ladies under a denim skirt, hot pink turtleneck and crocheted poncho (they're back!) for this fall season. I'll let you decide.

Pink Chicken has made their Fall '09 appearance with their familiar dress styles but a whole new slew of prints to choose from, turquoise indian inspired silk, a fresh take on a vintage style bird print, or a shoutout to the tradtional with a delicate floral smocked frock.

The boys can find great cord pants in several colors sure to keep busy bodies warm all winter. Be sure and check out our mannequins in the lobby at Arrowhead Bank as well! Our boys outfiits are appropriately accompanied by some pretty fabulous ideas for Christmas gifts, thanks to Spunky Monkey!!!!! Go see for yourself!

Last but definantly not least is the new Eurpoean line that was unpacked and fluffed this past Friday. There is no way to even try to describe the gorgeous fabrics that define this amazing line. Beautiful silk taffetas, delicate satin pleats, pearl buttons, and butter soft drapey turtlenecks. You have got to see these pieces. The older girls will find a classic skinny pant of winter white velvet, topped with an uber chic coordinating blouse. Yes I said blouse - I feel bad now for laughing at my dad everytime he referred to any of our tops as a blouse growing up, even if it was a t-shirt. However, this is the only term appropriate for this beautiful "top."

Do you know how amazing it is to come in to this haven everyday, (all stress and uncertainty aside), I get to walk in seeing the tee tiniest little clothes, then continue on to see fringe leggings beside tulle and taffeta. My Santa Claus arrives everyday about noon and the packages are torn open to reveal the most stunning, hilarious, or classic pieces for the season. Although I have seen it all once before it has been months since I have gotten to touch the fabrics and notice all the intricate details upon ordering. I am reminded why I chose these pieces and how blessed I am to be doing what I love. Can you imagine????? This is awesome!!!!!

Oh by the way, left my camera at home (oops) so you will either have to absorb and imagine through the descriptions I provided, or you can come in and see for yourself this week. Have to take Wolfie to the Dr on Monday so I won't have pics of the new goodies up until Monday afternoon - possibly Tuesday!

32 Flavors and then some . . .

Every morning I begin by turning the lights on, adjusting the temperature, swithching the fans on and then pressing the start button to the same CD I have been listening to now for several months. I picked the one CD I own that doesn't drive me crazy, and although I now know every single word to every single song, her music and words are mellow enough that I can stand to go hit repeat once every 58 minutes. The first song that greets me in the morning contains the phrase " I am 32 flavors and then some" and so follows the image that was inspired by these words.

Yes, yes, deep and profound is this image, probably stirring up all kinds of emotion, perhaps even inspiring words to your own song just waiting to be written.

There aren't quite 32 flavors of squeak shoes but we do come close. Be sure to stop in and see which flavor suits your child best.

KICKY PANTS is back! Several adorable prints from the line that does an amazing thing with bamboo. And check out the newest addition to the line. They have developed this great little "Auto Mobile." It stretches from one side of the car to the other, in order to provide several kiddos with entertainment. Simply attatch their favorite toys (making sure not to disturb your view out the rear window) and never again will you have to worry about reaching around trying to find that lost toy! Gosh, don't you just wonder how the mothers of yesteryear ever survived without all of these innovative products. An aunt of mine once laughed and said " I don't know if this new generation of women is lazier or smarter." This comment was made after I brought a dish to a family event that had been preordered from a fabulous local restaurant, rather than making it myself. My mom and the other aunts laughed and I believe the general consensus was definantly "smarter." I choose to agree with that and therefore am very supportive of new products like this which can only stand to benefit our chaotic lives. Am I right or am I am right ?!?!?!? :)

This is a little shoutout to Mr. Tripp Barnett. I think you better tell mama these are callin your name. We just got a huge shipment of great plates, sippy cups, bowl and spoon sets, splat mats, and closet dividers all in a plethora of prints to choose from. Perky Pink Paisley, Daisies and Ladybugs, and a Mod Numbers print for the super sophisticated little tyke. I am thrilled about the closet dividers, as they could be my first step into the world of order. I actually have a professional coming to help me organize my life/home/office/etc. She should be thrilled that I have taken such a big step with these dividers ;-) It could be the start of something big!

Brooklyn will probably have one of each of these pieces hanging in his closet this season! Even more so than Brooklyn, Jamey is always so concerned with the feel and comfort or our kids clothes. This line should definantly keep Jamey happy. Tops and bottoms are super soft and everything can be thrown in the washing machine. What will keep me happy is this whole line is mix and match. So when Jamey does dress Brooklyn, I know he will leave the house looking like I did! What more could a mother ask for? - Oh well maybe some squeak sneaks to match . . .

A lot has changed over the last six years giving me three good reasons to be celebrating this day. Funny that I am here at Beulah's while one is out throwing the ball with dad, one is napping at Sugar and D-Dad's, and one is snoozing in the back, oblivious to the days significance.
